Yankees, which was one of the greatest hitting teams of all-time. As a team the Yankees hit 240 home runs, a major league record. Roger hit his record-breaking 61 and Mickey hit 54.
They also set an AL record as six - players hit 20 or more dingers. The others were Yogi Berra (22), Moose Skowron (28), Elston Howard (21) and Johnny Blanchard (21).
The '61 Yankees won a record 109 games and went on to beat Cincinnati in five games in the World Series.
